CMS - among the top ten international law firms - assisted CitizenM, a Dutch operator specialized in the smart luxury hotel sector, in the structuring of an alternative closed-end real estate fund dedicated to the acquisition and subsequent conversion into hotels of various properties in Italy
The real estate fund is managed by Antirion SGR, a leading asset management company.The first investment in Italy involved the purchase of a 7,000 square meter property located in the center of Rome, on Lungotevere dè Cenci, to be converted into a typical CitizenM hotel.
More specifically, CMS assisted CitizenM with a team composed by the Partner Paolo Bonolis, head of the Banking & Finance department of the Firm, the Of Counsel Andrea Arcangeli, who dealt with the structuring the fund, and the Counsel Maria Giovanna Pisani for the regulatory aspects.
