Marisa Pellegrino started her collaboration with the Firm in 2015 as a Senior Associate, and she is a member of the Fraud and Corporate Criminal Defence Department.

Working in the Rome office, she focuses her activity on criminal legal defence and advice for individuals and prestigious Italian and multinational companies, providing defensive activity before the Courts, as well as advice, including preventive advice, with special emphasis on white collar crimes.

In this context, she gained a significant expertise in relation to crimes against the Public Administration, financial and corporate offences, tax crimes and offences against property (with particular reference to aspects of money laundering), trade protection, market abuse, environmental crimes, occupational health and safety crimes.

She has also a long-standing experience in the matter of the corporate criminal liability according to Legislative Decree no. 231/2001: she regularly take care the planning and preparation of Models 231, as well as the subsequent phases of their implementation and revision, including the single constituent elements thereof (code of ethics, disciplinary procedures, etc.). In this framework, she is constantly involved in setting up compliance programs at local and Group level, working closely with the companies involved.

Prior to joining CMS, she worked for years for a leading Italian boutique law firm specialized in corporate criminal matters.
