Chiomenti and CMS advised Pollen Street Capital on the acquisition of securities issued as part of securitisation transactions backed by a portfolio of over €500 million consisting of loans to consortia and local authorities, including those in financial distress or subject to extraordinary administration and liquidation procedures.

The Chiomenti team that assisted Pollen Street Capital in the transaction was composed of Gregorio Consoli and Federica Scialpi, assisted by Alessandra Barazza, Federica Martone and Sara Baccan.

As part of the transaction, the CMS team, led by partner Domenico Gaudiello and supported by senior associate Giuseppe Boccalone, assisted Pollen Street Capital with the public finance aspects of the transaction, examining the credit and enforcement risks relating to the acquired receivables, including those related to the financial resources of the public entities concerned and the consequences of insolvency.

The transaction involved the teams of Officine CST, the current special servicer of the portfolio, and Collextion Services Srl, for the valuation and subsequent management of the portfolio.

Greenberg Traurig assisted the seller Finint Investments, in its capacity as manager of the alternative investment fund ‘Finint Officine Credit Investment’, handling all regulatory, contractual and structural aspects of the entire transaction.

The Greenberg Traurig team was led by partner Corrado Angelelli, with the support of partner Davide Bonsi and Antonello Sacchi.
