As you experienced firsthand, our journey has been one of remarkable milestones, built on a legacy of trust, integrity, and unparalleled service. From our humble beginnings in Mombasa in 1899 to our current position as a leading law firm in East and Central Africa, including past partners who went on to become Chief Justices in various Commonwealth countries, we are proud of the role we have played in shaping the legal landscape.
The evening beautifully captured this journey, highlighting the dedication and contributions of individuals throughout our history, and emphasising our unwavering commitment to our clients. We also passionately spoke about the future, and our dedication to nurturing the next generation of legal talent through initiatives like the CMS Africa Academy. To quote the President of the Law Society of Kenya, Faith Odhiambo, “I commend CMS for not only surviving, but thriving. [We] have set a precedent in sustained excellence.” Further, Duncan Weston, Executive Partner at CMS reiterated that, “CMS is all about education and the rule of law. We have… young lawyers who are the inspiration of our future and they are amazing!”
