CMS advises Apollo Tyres with acquisition of Vredestein

CMS has advised, together with CMS Cameron McKenna, the Indian company Apollo Tyres Ltd. with the acquisition of Vredestein Banden B.V. from parent company Amtel-Vredestein N.V. The vendor was declared insolvent in April of this year. Vredestein Banden BV was not involved in the liquidation.

The CMS team was headed from the Dutch office of CMS Derks Star Busmann by Mark Ziekman and Cars-Jan van Gool (Corporate Finance), as well as Marcel Groenewegen (Bankruptcy). The British team of CMS Cameron McKenna was headed by Vivek Gambhir.

Apollo Tyres Ltd is the Indian market leader in tyre production, with an annual turnover of about 1 billion US dollars. Apollo Tyres Ltd. is currently active mainly in India and also in the Middle East, Latin America and Africa.
