Saša Sodja joined CMS Slovenia in 2010 after years of experience working for one of the Big Four companies, where she had advised clients on international tax and transactional matters. Due to her tax/financial background and exemplary organisational skills, she soon became a core member of the Slovenian corporate/M&A team. 

Saša Sodja’s work is primarily focused on transactions. She has played an active role in most of the local and cross-border capital market transactions as well as mergers and acquisitions engagements handled by the Slovenian team. Saša Sodja provides all-round support and advice to international and domestic clients from various industries all the way from organising and managing an M&A deal team to post-merger integrations. In addition to her know-how in handling a wide variety of complex transactional issues, she advises clients in relation to corporate governance, restructuring and corporate compliance. 

Saša Sodja graduated from the University of Ljubljana’s Faculty of Law in 2004 and passed her bar exam in June 2017. In 2012, she also received the UK certified accountant qualification from the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA).

Tax

Saša Sodja has over a decade of hands-on experience advising international and local clients on a variety of tax matters. She joined the CMS tax team in 2010 after years of experience in tax consulting in both Slovenia and Croatia working for a Big Four company and immediately took over team and performance coordination for key clients and projects. 

She advises her clients on the full range of taxation matters, including taxation planning, tax inspections, company restructuring and transfer pricing. She has exceptional customer-focused experience in advising clients on tax matters with regard to regional cross-border deals. 

Saša Sodja graduated from the University of Ljubljana’s Faculty of Law in 2004 and passed her bar exam in June 2017.

Saša Sodja has worked in the area of commercial and business law ever since she joined CMS Slovenia in 2010. Due to her strong tax and financial background, she is a valuable adviser to clients from various industries in all aspects of their commercial activities and business matters. 

Saša Sodja advises clients on all regulatory and compliance issues, ranging from telecommunications to consumer protection and anti-money laundering regulations. She is well versed in negotiating, analysing and drafting various civil law agreements and contracts such as sales agreements, agency agreements, commercial leases, services agreements, licences, etc. 

She graduated from the University of Ljubljana’s Faculty of Law in 2004 and passed her bar exam in June 2017. In 2012, she also received the UK certified accountant qualification from the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA).
