Wistrand has advised Strawberry regarding the launch of a new hotel chain together with Slättö.
The investment is made in cooperation with Slättö and is a complement to the four hotel chains Strawberry already offers. The new hotel chain will consist of hotels with a focus on design, adapted to both short and long-term accommodation, digitalization, efficiency, sustainability and which are competitive on price. The target groups are motorists, sports teams and people who temporarily or for a slightly longer period need accommodation. The first hotel is expected to open in Q2 2025 in Falkenberg in western Sweden, with 151 rooms.
The Strawberry Group is one of the Nordic region's largest hotel companies with over 225 hotels, offering the hotel chains Comfort Hotel, Quality Hotel, Clarion Hotel and Clarion Collection Hotel as well as more than 40 independent hotels.
Slättö is a real estate private equity firm with a focus on the Nordic region. Together, the Slättö funds manage assets of over SEK 20 billion. Since the start in 2013, Slättö has completed over 200 transactions with a total transaction value of over SEK 35 billion.
