Jörgen Eklund is the CMS Global Co‑Head of International Arbitration since 2026 and Head of the Dispute and Insurance team in Stockholm. Jörgen is one of Sweden's leading specialists in insurance law and has more than 25 years of experience in assisting Swedish and international clients with insurance and reinsurance matters, business law advice and disputes. Jörgen regularly represents clients in court proceedings, as well as in Swedish and international arbitration proceedings.
Jörgen Eklund has experience of commercial disputes in a number of different industries and business areas, such as disputes concerning insurance and reinsurance, real estate projects, commercial contracts for the supply of products and services (sale of goods disputes), professional liability disputes, disputes concerning mergers and acquisitions and venture capital investments, the automotive industry, as well as in disputes in med-tech, media, and other rights disputes.
Jörgen Eklund has for many years been ranked by internationally recognized ranking institutions as a leading practitioner in insurance law and commercial disputes (Chambers, Legal 500, Who's who Legal). In 2026 Jörgen was awarded as the “Attourney´s attorney” (Advokaternas advokat) by the leading Swedish law magazine Dagens Juridik, an award given to the lawyer whom fellow business lawyers would choose to represent them in complex matters.
