CMS celebrates success at the Legal 500 CEE Awards 2025
CMS has been recognised for its work across Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) at the Legal 500 CEE Awards 2025, an annual celebration recognising leading legal professionals in the regions.
The firm secured ten award wins overall, including accolades for Hungary Firm of the Year (CMS Hungary), Banking, Finance and Capital Markets Firm of the Year (CMS Hungary), Data Privacy and Data Protection Firm of the Year (CMS Hungary), Real Estate and Construction Firm of the Year (CMS Poland) and Tax Firm of the Year (CMS Poland).
In addition to this firmwide recognition, several CMS lawyers were individually honoured with “Lawyer of the Year”, “Next Generation Partner of the Year”, and “Leading Associate of the Year” awards, demonstrating the depth of talent and leadership within the firm. The individual winners were Szabolcs Szendrő (CMS Hungary), Małgorzata Urbańska (CMS Poland), Małgorzata Brauckmann-Sajkiewicz (CMS Poland), Kateryna Chechulina (CMS Ukraine) and Olga Czyżycka-Szczygieł (CMS Poland).
These awards are based on the Legal 500’s thorough, independent research for its annual legal directory. Winners are selected by a team led by Legal 500 CEE editor Mike De Luca.

These accolades span several countries, including Albania, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia and Ukraine, underscoring CMS’s strong regional presence and expertise.
