Gregor Famira is a corporate and M&A lawyer and a leading expert in the hotel and leisure industry. He is a partner of CMS in Vienna and founder and head of the CMS offices in Zagreb (2003) and Ljubljana (2008). Since 2005, Gregor Famira has been advising Austrian start-up companies from the IT sector in the fields of telephony, gaming, social networking and computer vision.

Frequent topics are the financing of new companies, company law and data protection as well as the appropriate contractual documentation for the business model at hand – understanding each individual company, its goals and the way to achieve them are the basis for new approaches and effective advice – this often requires thinking “outside the box”.

Gregor Famira’s second area of expertise is the coordination and professional support of transactions in CEE.

Gregor Famira is a lawyer for the hotel and leisure industry and a leading expert in corporate law/M&A. He is a partner of CMS  in Vienna and founder and head of the CMS offices in Zagreb (2003) and Ljubljana (2008); he also coordinates the firm’s real estate activities in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) and has been active in CEE for 20 years. During this time, he has handled countless corporate and real estate transactions in the region.

Gregor Famira focuses especially on the asset classes of hotels and retail; he advises owners, financiers and operators/retailers not only on transactions, but also on leases, franchise and hotel management agreements as well as real estate developments. 

Since 2005, Gregor Famira's second mainstay has mainly been advising Austrian start-up companies.
