Maksym Morozov is a Senior Associate in the Real Estate Department at CMS Ukraine.

Maksym has over 8 years of experience advising clients, including major international and leading Ukrainian developers, banks and property funds.

Maksym focuses on various aspects of acquisitions of commercial and industrial properties, construction matters, and different contractual, land and zoning issues.

In the construction sector, Maksym is involved in domestic cross-border projects and advises developers, contractors, and financial institutions. 

Maksym has substantial experience in land related projects, representing both investors, target companies and other parties. He advises on various legal issues related to the allocation of land plots, land use, protective and sanitary zones, use of land with a subsoil layer, etc.

  • Arise AB on its acquisition of a 70% stake in Norway and Ukraine-focused renewables developer Fenix Repower AS in a bid to diversify its business technologically and gain a foothold in the Ukrainian market
  • Goldbeck Solar Investment GmbH, international company specializing in the turnkey construction of industrial and large-scale photovoltaic power plants on:
    • the contemplated acquisition of a portfolio of RES projects in Ukraine (due diligence and transactional parts) 
    • establishing a JV with EBRD owning a portfolio of RES projects in Ukraine
  • a consortium led by NJJ Holding, the investment firm owned by Xavier Niel, founder of European telecom group Iliad and U.S. private equity firm Horizon Capital, on the landmark acquisition of Datagroup-Volia, Ukraine’s leading fixed telecom and pay TV provider, and Lifecell, the country’s third-largest and fastest-growing mobile operator
  • Air Products on construction of a new modern air separation unit at ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rig steel plant in Ukraine, including land allocation issues, construction matters, equipment certification and day-to-day support
