Oleksandr Protsiuk is a Counsel in the Dispute Resolution and Compliance practice group at CMS Ukraine. He advises international companies on administrative (pre-trial) appeals, tax and customs disputes, and commercial litigation, handling case strategy, procedural documents, and court representation. He also has significant experience in pre-trial criminal investigations of economic crimes. Oleksandr has advised over 50 clients in approximately 100 disputes worth more than USD 100 million, achieving a success rate of over 90%.

Before joining CMS in 2017, Oleksandr led the dispute resolution practice at an international consulting firm. With over 13 years’ experience, he has represented clients in tax and commercial disputes, criminal proceedings, and alternative dispute resolution.

  • A globally leading cosmetics manufacturer in several disputes with the tax authorities and related criminal proceedings, and supporting the client in all disputes with its counterparties.
  • One of the leading global agro companies in several disputes with the tax authorities, spanning more than six years.
  • A global leader in the field of FMCG production and distribution on its strategy in a tax controversy related to advance corporate tax overpayments and on options regarding the tax demand arising from offsetting these overpayments.
  • An official automobile importer and distributor in a dispute with the tax authorities related to the assessment of CPT and VAT as well as in the criminal proceedings initiated as a result of this assessment.
  • An international IT company in several disputes (including administrative, civil and criminal cases) related to protecting its right to use a plot of land.
  • A leading packaging producer in challenging the results of a tax audit in an administrative procedure.
