Directions

The Warsaw office is located in the very centre of the city, in the Warsaw Financial Center (WFC) building. There is underground station access nearby, and it is within walking distance from the Central Railway Station.

The nearest station to the WFC building is Rondo One. When exiting the tube station, turn left towards Emilii Plater street, past the Rondo One building. The next building is WFC.

By aeroplane

Okęcie airport - Okęcie is the main airport, located within the area of Warsaw. The fastest way to reach Okęcie airport from the city is to use a taxi. To get to the office from the airport, you can have one arranged for you in front of the building. These are authorised and safe taxis.

Modlin airport - Modlin airport is located 35 km North-West from Warsaw center. It is mainly used for low-cost airlines and charters. The best way to get to Modlin airport is by taxi.

There are a number of taxi companies. At CMS we use Merc Taxi (T: +48 22 677 77 77). Credit cards are widely accepted.

On 7 May 2018, the European Com­mis­sion pub­lished its fifth re­port on the per­form­ance of the EU Product Li­ab­il­ity Dir­ect­ive (Dir­ect­ive/85/374/EEC) in the mem­ber states. The dir­ect­ive in­tro­duced the concept of strict li­ab­il­ity for pro­du­cers of de­fect­ive products.

In March 2018 we men­tioned the boost­ing of the con­struc­tion, tech­no­logy and elec­tric vehicle char­ging sec­tors by a pro­posed re­boot­ing of en­ergy per­form­ance of build­ings le­gis­la­tion. Today, the Coun­cil of the European Uni­on an­nounced agree­ment on the fi­nal ver­sion.

EU Emis­sions Trad­ing Sys­tem Dir­ect­ive amended – what’s next?
The re­vised EU ETS Dir­ect­ive amend­ing Dir­ect­ive 2003/87/EC es­tab­lish­ing the EU ETS and im­ple­ment­ing the fourth trad­ing peri­od (2021-2030) came in­to force on 8 April 2018. The Dir­ect­ive in­tro­duces sig­ni­fic­ant changes to EU ETS but also sets a frame­work for fur­ther.

European Com­mis­sion's form­al in­vest­ig­a­tion in­to a pub­lic loan to Al­it­alia
On 23 April 2018, the European Com­mis­sion an­nounced the open­ing of a form­al in­vest­ig­a­tion in­to a bridge loan of €900 mil­lion gran­ted by the Itali­an State to Al­it­alia. Al­it­alia is owned by the con­sor­ti­um Com­pagnia Aerea Itali­ana (CAI) (51%) and Eti­had Air­ways.
