Directions

The Warsaw office is located in the very centre of the city, in the Warsaw Financial Center (WFC) building. There is underground station access nearby, and it is within walking distance from the Central Railway Station.

The nearest station to the WFC building is Rondo One. When exiting the tube station, turn left towards Emilii Plater street, past the Rondo One building. The next building is WFC.

By aeroplane

Okęcie airport - Okęcie is the main airport, located within the area of Warsaw. The fastest way to reach Okęcie airport from the city is to use a taxi. To get to the office from the airport, you can have one arranged for you in front of the building. These are authorised and safe taxis.

Modlin airport - Modlin airport is located 35 km North-West from Warsaw center. It is mainly used for low-cost airlines and charters. The best way to get to Modlin airport is by taxi.

There are a number of taxi companies. At CMS we use Merc Taxi (T: +48 22 677 77 77). Credit cards are widely accepted.

On 27 Ju­ly 2017, the European Com­mis­sion form­ally re­ques­ted Bel­gi­um and France to ab­ol­ish cor­por­ate tax ex­emp­tions for their ports, con­sid­er­ing that their na­tion­al re­gimes for the tax­a­tion of ports were in­com­pat­ible with EU State aid reg­u­la­tion.

New gambling reg­u­la­tions in Po­land enter in­to force
Amend­ments to the Gambling Act of 19 Novem­ber 2009 (the “Gambling Act”) entered in­to force in two parts in April and Ju­ly 2017. The changes in­clude new ob­lig­a­tions on in­ter­net ser­vice pro­viders and ser­vice pay­ment op­er­at­ors con­cern­ing on­line bet­ting op­er­a­tions.

Pro­pos­al to amend the sub­sti­tu­tion fee in the Act on the Re­new­able...
A pro­pos­al to amend the Act on Re­new­able En­ergy Sources (the “Draft”) was pub­lished on 12 Ju­ly 2017. The Draft pro­poses chan­ging the way the sub­sti­tu­tion fee is cal­cu­lated. The lower and up­per cham­bers of the Pol­ish Par­lia­ment have already ac­cep­ted the Draft.

Entry in­to force of EU Clin­ic­al Tri­als Reg­u­la­tion post­poned to 2019
On 16 June 2017, the European Medi­cines Agency (“EMA”) pub­lished a press re­lease1 an­noun­cing the post­pone­ment of the entry in­to force of the EU Clin­ic­al Tri­als Reg­u­la­tion of 16 April 2016. 2 It was one of the top­ics at the June 2017 meet­ing of the EMA Man­age­ment.
