Andrea Andreev is an associate in CMS Sofia's Intellectual Property team.
He has experience in trademark, industrial design and copyright enforcement, prosecution and litigation, advising clients in the fashion, entertainment and software industries. Andrea has assisted both international and local companies with strategic advice on brand protection matters and IP disputes, and has litigated IP cases in civil and criminal courts. He has provided IP support to startups, entrepreneurs, and creatives, in safeguarding their innovations and creative works while meeting their business goals.
Andrea has advised clients on IP portfolio management, licensing, distribution and franchise agreements as well as on creative content contracts. Trademark watch services and domain name monitoring are part of his legal toolset where he also handles follow-up infringement matters. A special focus of his practice are anti-counterfeiting and anti-piracy matters where he is active beyond the courtroom.
Andrea often lectures on the value of IPRs and is a regular participant in trainings on brand protection for law enforcement authorities. Andrea is a registered trademark and design attorney at the Bulgarian Patent Office and the EUIPO and is a member of ECTA and AIPPI Bulgaria.
