Maria Nikolova is a Senior Associate in the CMS Sofia Real Estate practice group. She is an experienced real estate and construction lawyer with expertise in complex real estate transactions, land acquisition, zoning and permitting, construction and infrastructure development. She advises leading real estate developers, investors, and multinational companies across the full lifecycle of property development—covering property acquisition, regulatory and environmental compliance, construction and commercial contracts, commercial leasing and project financing.
Maria frequently provides legal insight on the real estate components of broader corporate and finance transactions, including cross-border mergers and acquisitions, restructurings, and financing arrangements involving multinational corporate structures. Her work includes conducting due diligence, negotiating transaction terms, drafting and reviewing transactional and commercial documentation, and coordinating multidisciplinary and cross-border legal teams.
