Veliko Savov is a Senior Associate in the Corporate Department of CMS Sofia.  Veliko specialises in company and commercial law and has interests in foreign direct investments. He has experience in mergers and acquisitions of companies, joint ventures, contract negotiations and corporate governance. Veliko has participated in various acquisitions of companies advising on commercial and corporate transactions, corporate governance, documenting shareholder and operating agreements.   Veliko is also heading our Hotels & Leisure Sector Group. He is experienced in contract negotiations, dispute resolution, FIDIC contracts, joint ventures and corporate governance. Prior to joining CMS, Veliko was an associate in the biggest telecommunications company in Bulgaria [listed on BSE] dealing mainly with corporate and commercial matters.

  • IBM on day-to-day legal work, specialised legal advice in the areas of competition law, public procurement law, IP & IT law, employment law, data privacy, etc.
  • Societe Generale Expressbank and UniCredit Bulbank in respect of the acquisition financing of a proposed management buy-out of a Bulgarian media and broadcasting company.
  • Sixty K in various ongoing legal matters such as corporate, commercial and employment matters as well as dispute resolution mandates.
  • Communicorp Media radio group on the sale of its radio stations in Bulgaria to the local management team.
  • Riverside Europe Partners on the acquisition of a majority shareholding in the Bulgarian TMT company Fadata Work included a legal due diligence process, transactional advice and assistance in closing the deal.
