Hamburg – DSR Holding, a subsidiary of Deutsche Seereederei, and the DER Touristik Group are teaming up to form a joint venture. The two companies each hold 50% of the newly established DR Hospitality GmbH & Co. KG, which is headquartered in Hamburg and Rostock. The merger includes the A-ROSA, aja, Henri Hotels, Hotel Neptun and Hotel Louis C. Jacob brands. The joint venture is aiming to become the European market leader in environmentally friendly and sustainable tourism through its A-ROSA Resorts & Hideaways, aja and Henri Hotels brands.
Details of the joint venture were not disclosed. The transaction is currently awaiting approval from the relevant competition authorities.
A CMS team headed by Hamburg-based lead partner Dr Sebastian Orthmann advised Deutsche Seereederei on legal and tax aspects of the transaction.
