Professional development for legal excellence
For our lawyers, the CMS Academy offers a comprehensive and strategically structured programme comprising professional and personal development courses. The overview below provides a brief insight into the diverse programme designed to support you on your career development journey.
Our onboarding days welcome you to CMS. You’ll get to know our firm and our Business Services teams, and have the chance to network with colleagues from other offices and business divisions.
You will meet regularly with around 100 colleagues from various sites, business units and levels of experience. In a pleasant atmosphere, you will take part in training tailored to your needs and, above all, make the most of the opportunity to exchange ideas. This gives you the chance to build cross-site networks and connect with colleagues from different areas.
Mentoring is a key part of your development journey at CMS. Your mentors will support you on your career path through regular feedback sessions and act as your points of contact for your professional and personal development.
The Core Curriculum is the CMS Academy’s international professional development programme, which enables you to take part in English-language training sessions alongside colleagues from all CMS offices worldwide and to exchange ideas with colleagues from the international CMS network.
Our Profile Training for Senior Associates is an intensive and needs-based consultancy service for individual career development. In small groups, you will discuss your professional profile and work with coaches to refine your presentation skills.
