CMS Hasche Sigle advises Meliá Hotels International on acquisition of "Innside by Meliá" hotel in Essen's historic Osram House

Berlin – Meliá Hotels International and the Düsseldorf-based WGF Group have agreed a 25-year lease for use of the historic Osram House in Essen as a hotel with 107 rooms. The WGF Group is adapting the building to meet the needs of Meliá Hotels International for subsequent operation under the "Innside by Meliá" brand. The hotel is scheduled to open in 2015. Meliá Hotels is the largest Spanish hotel chain. Worldwide it operates more than 350 hotels, of which some 25 are located in Germany. This puts Germany in third place in terms of the number of hotels, after Spain and Cuba.

CMS Hasche Sigle has been advising Meliá Hotels International for many years on all aspects of its German hotel portfolio. On this project, it was again advised by a team led by Berlin-based Real Estate partner Dr Andreas Otto.
