Kingsley is a partner based in Hong Kong, and leads the firm’s Structured Finance and Restructuring/Insolvency practices in Asia.  He specialises in all types of financing and debt restructuring, including Debt Capital Markets, Derivatives, Structured Finance, Securitisation, Restructuring and Insolvency.

He is the only lawyer in Asia to be ranked by legal directories as a Leading Lawyer in five practice areas (Banking & Finance | Structured Finance | Securitisation | Derivatives | Restructuring/Insolvency) across three jurisdictions (China (Hong Kong) | India | South Korea).

Kingsley is a Notary Public, a Solicitor-Arbitrator in Hong Kong, a Barrister & Solicitor-Advocate in England & Wales, and an Advocate & Solicitor in Singapore.  He actively acts on behalf of arrangers, borrowers, collateral managers, enhancement providers, finance leasing companies, investors, issuers, lenders, liquidators, liquidity providers, originators, rating agencies, receivers, servicers, sponsors, swap counterparties, trustees, and underwriters.

Kingsley is also an Adjunct Law Professor at The City University of Hong Kong. He authored many of the leading practitioner texts in his specialist areas in Hong Kong, and his published opinions have been cited as legal authority in the US Court (Lehman Brothers Special Finance vs Bank of New York, SDNY 09-01242), the Hong Kong Standing Committee on Company Law Reform, the Financial Stability Board (FSB), and other leading textbooks.

Kingsley is also regularly sought after as a Hong Kong Law Expert Witness in foreign courts. He recently appeared as expert before the US Bankruptcy Courts and US District Courts in New Jersey, Iowa, Minnesota, Texas.

Kingsley also regularly acts as independent Arbitrator, and conducts arbitration in both English and Chinese languages. He is on the arbitrator panel list for The Hong Kong Law Society, HKIAC, eBRAM, KCAB, JCAA, BAIAC, CAA, RAC.

Kingsley also serves as the Secretary-General of APSA (www.apsa-asia.com)and as an External Examiner for HKIB.
