Wayne Ma has experience on a wide variety of real estate transactions, including experience in acquisitions and dispositions of various types of real property, joint ventures, limited recourse and secured financings, private equity and institutional investments and funds formation.

Wayne represents investment banks, financial institutions and private equity funds in both inbound and outbound transactions across Asia, Europe and the United States. His funds experience includes advising fund sponsors in the formation of real estate private equity funds and advising managers in their investment and operational matters.

  • Brookfield and Maori Capital cold storage JV on the creation of a regional platform for development and management of cold storage assets, including the seed acquisition, financing, and redevelopment of a Hong Kong industrial property.
  • A consortium of international banks led by Deutsche Bank AG, as mandated lead arrangers, on a USD 175m secured term loan facility, which is directly secured by Excel Centre, a grade-A office tower with a total space of over 41,000 square meters located in Beijing’s Financial Street.*
  • A prestigious international financial institution in China on its investment in the properties commonly known as the Shanghai Knowledge and Innovation Community, an international multi-function knowledge community in Yangpu District, Shanghai.*
