CMS has advised Yokogawa Electric Corporation, a global leader in industrial automation and control, on the acquisition of Intellisync, a provider of cybersecurity and digital transformation solutions, and WiSNAM, a developer of advanced grid control and energy management technologies. Both companies will be integrated into BaxEnergy, Yokogawa’s wholly owned subsidiary specializing in renewable energy management solutions.
The transaction represents a strategic step for Yokogawa in creating a digital hub for renewable energy and decarbonization, expanding its capabilities in cybersecurity and advanced grid control systems. Intellisync brings expertise in cybersecurity-as-a-service, operating a 24/7 network and security operations center, while WiSNAM contributes cutting-edge solutions for controlling renewable and distributed energy resources, including its flagship Power Plant Controller.
