Double Seed for CMS: Firm announces Ittinsect and Bufaga joining EquiP

CMS alongside Ittinsect - Feed for the Ocean in the Round Seed that involved as investors the Norwegian fund Katapult Ocean, the Portuguese fund Indico Capital Partners, and, as lead investor, CDP Venture Capital Sgr - Cassa Depositi e Prestiti’s National Innovation Fund.

The team, composed of Partner Massimo Trentino, Associate Elena Papa, and Junior Associate Francesca Beatrice Durante, brings home a double success, having also assisted Bufaga in the first investment round, which resulted in new shareholders, including a Dutch institutional investor, joining the start-up's share capital.

The two start-ups realize visionary ideas in the name of ecological transition, which CMS is proud to be able to support thanks to the EquIP project, which assists start-ups on favorable terms to foster their development in the Italian and foreign markets, selecting projects that meet the so-called ESG principles.

The two projects were selected for their positive impact on the environment: Ittinsect - Feed for the Ocean, an idea of Alessandro Romano, operates within the Blue Economy and produces highly nutritious feeds, obtained through the use of insect meal, microalgae, and microbiologically treated agricultural by-products, in line with the principles of the circular economy and with the ultimate goal of bringing aquaculture to have zero impact on the marine environment; Bufaga is a device that, like the bird from which it takes its name, installed on all types of vehicles, captures fine dust without dispersing it into the environment and improving air quality, All this was possible thanks to the intuition of Serena Mignucci CEO & Co-Founder, supported by the other Co-Founders, the two mechanical engineers, Giuseppe Spinelli and Simone Cingolani, the CMO Francesco Gaudiano, and the COO Federico Roviglioni.
