Stamatina is an Associate in the Capital Markets practice at CMS Luxembourg.
She has developed strong expertise advising on the structuring and issuance of a broad range of listed and non-listed financial instruments, with a particular focus on debt securities such as bonds, notes, certificates, high-yield and ABS securities. She regularly handles cross-border transactions.
Stamatina’s experience also encompasses the establishment of both regulated and unregulated securitisation vehicles. She advises clients on regulatory matters arising from EU financial legislation, including the EU Securitisation Regulation, the Prospectus Regulation, and MiFID II. Additionally, she supports credit institutions and investment firms with Market Abuse Regulation compliance and assists in structuring security tokenisation projects for start-ups and fintech companies.
Prior to joining CMS Luxembourg in 2022, Stamatina gained valuable experience as a trainee lawyer at a leading Athens law firm specialising in banking and finance. She also worked as a research assistant at the University of Luxembourg, where she focused on inclusive finance.
Stamatina is fully qualified and admitted to both the Athens and Luxembourg Bars.
