1 min read

On this page

In the April 2016 edition of L’Observateur de Monaco, Maître Sophie Marquet provided some hints on the existing tools in the Principality to be used for flexibility in the organization of work.

At first, she explains that although the legal framework may seem strict, Monegasque law offers to labor actors various ways to adapt the working organization to the activity. Some leverage tools such as the amendment of the work hours during the week, the autonomy of the managers to organize their working time, the collective agreements are, among others, mentioned.

Maître Sophie Marquet also explains the role of the employment contract and the question sometimes raised about weakening social rights. In this respect, she distinguishes flexibility and employment insecurity by giving the example of the teleworking draft law intended as a win-win system.
