CMS Woodhouse Lorente Ludlow (CMS Mexico) is pleased to announce the incorporation of Gabriel González, who joins the firm as Of Counsel in our antitrust practice, effective June 02, 2025.
With over two decades of experience in antitrust law, Gabriel González brings a distinguished track record advising both domestic and international clients. His expertise spans on merger notification procedures, cartel behaviour and abuse of dominance investigations, barriers to competition, leniency applications, calls for opinion for cross ownership and public bids, as well as trial-like procedures and amparo indirecto actions (constitutional injunctions). He has also designed and implemented comprehensive compliance and risk prevention programs for major corporations.
Gabriel previously served as Deputy General Director of Investigations at the Mexican Federal Economic Competition Commission (COFECE) and has been recognized as a “Rising Star” by The Legal 500 for his work in the field.
Prior to joining, Gabriel worked in different highly regarded Law Firms and held key roles within COFECE. He is also an active member of the International Chamber of Commerce and currently serves as Secretary of the Cartels Working Group of the Competition Section of the International Bar Association. Additionally, he currently lectures Competition Law at Universidad Iberoamericana.
