Are you studying Dutch, Notarial or Tax law and ready to apply your acquired knowledge in practice? Then come do an internship at CMS! A student internship at CMS is the perfect opportunity to get to know our Amsterdam office better, experience the dynamics of an international firm and test your knowledge and skills.
The student internship lasts two months, during which you work full-time, and always starts in the odd-numbered months. The remuneration is 750 euros net per month. If you are no longer entitled to a student travel product, you may be eligible for a travel allowance. Students coming from far away may also be eligible for a housing allowance in Amsterdam. Of course, a student internship is also possible if you have already graduated.
Legal Profession Internship
You will work in a team of enthusiastic and motivated lawyers. During the student internship, you will get a good picture of their daily - international - practice, of which you will become a part. As a student trainee, you will participate in ongoing cases and take part in discussions together with the lawyers. You are able to make a substantive contribution to the ongoing cases by drafting various documents including letters, procedural documents and/or advice. In addition, you are able to analyse legal problems and have the ability to think about creative solutions. You also have the opportunity to participate in our professional and social activities.
Notarial Profession Internship
A notarial student internship at CMS will give you a comprehensive view of our Corporate/M&A and Real Estate & Construction practice. You will participate in ongoing cases and take part in meetings with the (junior) notaries. During your student internship, you will join both notarial practice groups. Within the notarial practice, you will also make a substantive contribution to current cases and gain a good idea of the daily - international - practice.
Tax Practice Internships
During a tax student internship at CMS, you will work for a number of weeks on current projects within the Tax practice group. Our tax specialists have a strong focus on international tax law, corporate tax and indirect taxes. In the Tax team, you will have the opportunity to work on international files. A unique aspect of working as a tax specialist at CMS is the intensive cooperation with our lawyers and civil-law notaries in various files.
