As international and full-service law firm, we are proud that many of our practice areas haven been recognised in the Chambers Global Legal Guide 2024. These rankings and especially the testimonials given by our clients are proof of CMS’ outstanding global capabilities in many different areas of law.

Top global rankings

This year we have received rankings in the following categories:

  • Global Market Leaders
  • Global: Multi-Jurisdictional
  • Global Europe-wide

CMS is recognised as European pack leader with Band 1 rankings for: Projects & Energy (Global Europe-wide), as well as for TMT: Media (Global Europe-wide). CMS has also received a Spotlight position for the new category Commercial Contracts (Global Market Leaders).

Netherlands

The Corporate/M&A practice of CMS in the Netherlands is recognised for its work in cross-border transactions, especially in the technology sector and for private equity houses. Roman Tarlavski is highlighted as a notable practitioner. A Corporate/M&A client quoted that: "The lawyers offer a great ability to address challenges and find creative solutions."

With nine years, Edmon Oude Elferink is the longest ranking Dutch lawyer for the category Competition: EU (Foreign Expertise). Chambers notes that Edmon has a strong focus on assisting clients with obtaining merger and FDI clearance from the Dutch authorities, as well as representing clients in follow-on damages actions and challenges to ACM decisions.

Chambers also notes that CMS in the Netherlands has key teams for Life Sciences and Insolvency/Restructuring.

A Life Sciences client says: "CMS has highly skilled lawyers. Where they have the most value is that they have an extensive international office base which makes them able to handle multi-jurisdictional matters efficiently."

A Restructuring/Insolvency client says: "The team has a very practical approach to problem solving and keeping momentum in the transaction."

We would like to thank our clients and Chambers and Partners for these recognitions.
