Tjeerd Hoekstra is an advocaat in our Employment & Pensions Practice Area Group. He specialises in individual and collective labour law, with a focus on employee representation, reorganisations and the dismissal of directors appointed under the articles of association.​

Among other things, Tjeerd advises large and mid-size companies on employment law issues linked to mergers and acquisitions, such as employee co-determination rights and employment conditions.​

Furthermore, Tjeerd litigates frequently in dismissal cases or other employment-related disputes. Tjeerd is member of the CMS Life Sciences Group and regularly advises companies from that sector on employment-related matters.​

Prior to joining CMS in 2011, Tjeerd practised law in the labour law and procedural law divisions of Clifford Chance LLP based in Amsterdam
