Skiing and law
Skiing has many similarities to law, according to one of the world’s greatest skiers/mountaineers and legal professional Nikolai Schirmer. And it is not without reason that he is a CMS Kluge-ambassador.
I make a living from understanding risk, assesing consequences and making decisions in challenging situations. That is exactly what good lawyers do, too. I can relate to the way CMS Kluge thinks, and that is what triggered me to become an ambassador, says Schirmer.
About Nikolai Schirmer
Nikolai Schirmer is one of the world's most prominent freeride skiers and filmmakers, based in Tromsø. His YouTube channel has 1,4 million viewers a year, where he combines spectacular alpine adventures with deep insights into risk, decision-making and sustainability. Schirmer is also a law graduate. He is an ambassador and active partner of several leading brands, such as Black Crows, Scarpa and Polestar. He has been named the "European Skier of the Year" twice. Schirmer is the man behind the series Eksponert (Exposed), produced by NRK, the Norwegian national broadcaster, as well as widely recognized films such as Endless Winter and the recent documentary SKI, which has been shown in Norwegian cinemas as well as internationally. The newest season of Eksponert is now released on NRK.
