CMS Kluge’s employment lawyers are specialists in navigating the increasingly complex regulations applicable in the field of employment law. The team’s lawyers assist enterprises in establishing simple, legally well-founded schemes that optimally meet each employer’s specific needs. In addition, we assist enterprises in finding good solutions to deadlocked conflicts.
The team has extensive experience of all issues across the spectrum of employment law. This involves assisting our clients in individual and collective employment law, public employee law, pension law and personal privacy protection (GDPR). Our services include advice in connection with regular business operations and various forms of reorganisation, staff reductions and the sale of businesses. We possess a high level of expertise in important areas such as working hours and working hour schemes, whistleblowing and discrimination, enterprise transfers, posted employees, hiring, non-compete provisions, pensions, monitoring of employees, HSE and liability under the Norwegian Construction Client Regulations.
The department’s lawyers have extensive experience of conflict resolution and negotiation. Each year the department brings a large number of employment law cases before the courts. Several lawyers in the department are admitted to practise before the Supreme Court of Norway.
The department can provide cross-disciplinary assistance with experienced organisational psychologists and careers advisers, in connection with organisational changes, cooperation problems and similar matters.
We regularly assist a number of Norway’s largest employers, in both the private and public sectors. We also provide ongoing assistance to a large number of international companies, including several oil companies and suppliers to the oil and gas industry.
