We are pleased to welcome Oddleif Torvik as a new partner in CMS Kluge!

Oddleif joined CMS Kluge as a partner with effect from August 1st.

Oddleif is an experienced tax lawyer that has practiced tax law since 2006, with his primary fields of expertise being Norwegian and international tax law, transfer pricing, accounting law and valuation issues in various legal contexts, as well as associated transaction and structuring work, especially for larger groups.

Oddleif has so far combined his work at CMS Kluge with a full-time position in academia (the Norwegian School of Economics, NHH), where he worked on a book project on intra-group cost allocation under the OECD transfer pricing guidelines, with a focus on the petroleum industry. In addition to his legal degree, Oddleif holds an MSc in accounting and auditing (HRS) from NHH. Oddleif also holds a PhD in transfer pricing from the University of Bergen, which has been published internationally by the IBFD. His PhD thesis was on transfer pricing of intangibles, with an in-depth focus on the different OECD transfer pricing methodologies.

Oddleif will spearhead CMS Kluge Norway’s transfer pricing initiative going forward, with particular activity towards the various special tax regimes in Norway (incl. aquaculture, petroleum, hydropower, etc.). He will also work on transfer pricing of cross-border transactions in collaboration with transfer pricing lawyers in the larger CMS network internationally, as well as related structuring work for larger groups.

We are very happy to have Oddleif as a partner in CMS Kluge!
