Ivan Skjæveland has over 25 years of experience as a tax and VAT advisor for both private and public sector clients, across all industries.
He has a particular focus on real estate development and structuring of real estate projects, including property transactions. Skjæveland regularly assists developers, real estate investors, and property owners in finding tax and VAT-optimal solutions. His work often involves ensuring the correct overall tax and VAT burden, good liquidity, practical manageability, and robust solutions over time.
As a litigation lawyer, Skjæveland has handled a significant number of tax and VAT cases before the courts, including eight cases before the Supreme Court, for which he was admitted to appear in 2008.
He regularly lectures on tax and VAT law and has written a number of professional articles and newspaper opinion pieces. He also has a regular column in Revisjon og Regnskap (Audit and Accounting).
