Kim Hellstrøm Christensen works with real estate and transactions, with a particular focus on investments in commercial property. Since 2008, he has assisted in a large number of purchases and sales of real estate and real estate companies, covering the entire process from the bidding process to closing. Kim has extensive experience with interdisciplinary issues at the intersection of real estate and corporate, financing, tax, and value-added tax, and often acts as transaction manager and client liaison, responsible for coordinating external advisors in transaction processes.
Within real estate segments, Kim's main focus is on office, logistics, retail/grocery, and hotels, and he typically assists real estate funds/PE, transaction facilitators, managers, industrial players, and real estate companies – both on the buy side and sell side.
Kim handles a wide range of structures, including single-asset and portfolio transactions, asset and share investments, forward transactions, sale-leasebacks, joint ventures/club deals, and syndication/project finance. He also works with ongoing asset management and commercialization in the period between purchase and sale. Kim has solid expertise in contract regulation in connection with real estate transactions and management, including purchase agreements/SPA, shareholder and joint venture agreements, co-investment agreements, asset management/management agreements, and lease agreements.
His approach is commercially grounded, solution-oriented, and principle-driven, with an emphasis on negotiation based on interests rather than positions.
Kim was ranked as a “Rising Star” in Legal 500 (Real Estate) for the period 2020–2022, and named a “Promising Talent” in Finansavisen's lawyer rankings in 2024 and 2025.
