Nils Kristian Lie has in-depth knowledge of employment law, compliance and legal aspects connected to pension. Lie has throughout many years gained considerable knowledge of all sides of employment law, and especially restructuring- and redundancy processes, transfer of undertakings and HSE related questions. Lie has in-depth knowledge of irregular working time arrangements, including supervision and compliance activities connected to already established working time arrangements.

Lie has good knowledge of the employment related issues related to public tender processes, and especially regulations regarding salary and working conditions in public contracts. Lie regularly advises employers regarding universally applicable collective agreements, and allegations/investigations regarding social dumping. Lie does regularly advise employers in the construction industry, and has overall very good knowledge of this business sector.

Lie will also advise and act as coordinator in issues that involves public authorities such as inspections from the Labour Inspection Authorities and/or in connection with workplace related accidents.

Lie has in-depth knowledge of collective employment law and advises employers in connection with negotiations regarding collective agreements. Lie has additional very good knowledge of all legal aspects related to pension issues, both on a collective and individual level.
