Thomas Rieber-Mohn has extensive experience with assisting businesses that one way or another deal with intellectual property rights. He has extensive practical and theoretical knowledge of the full range of intellectual property rights, including industrial rights such as patents, design rights and trademarks as well as "artistic" rights such as copyright etc., and cases regarding unlawful product imitation and parasitic activity under Norwegian marketing and competition law. Rieber-Mohn litigated a wide specter of cases regarding plagiarism and copyright infringement, trademarks and patents. He also advises large and medium sized companies and organizations on IPR strategy as part of the company's overall business strategy.

Rieber-Mohn covers a wide range of industries, including oil and energy, technology and industry, fisheries, media, entertainment, arts and culture, academia, architecture, IT and software, design and communications etc.

He is one of two practicing Norwegian lawyers with PhD within IPR.

Rieber-Mohn has extensive experience in dispute resolution and litigates an average of 5-10 cases per year, also before the Supreme Court. He also provides regular assistance in transactions and due diligence processes.

Rieber-Mohn has also extensive experience in contract negotiations and drafting/revision of contract documents, both in national and international relations.

Rieber-Mohn has worked extensively with R&D-projects and commercialization of research results, and has worked closely with the TTO covering the leading academic institutions in Bergen, including regular assistance with establishment of companies, shareholder agreements, technology transfers and license agreements, corporate structuring, employee matters, negotiation and dispute resolution etc. He has also held board positions within this segment.
