Tobias Tofte is a Managing Associate at CMS Kluge, where he has been employed since 2017.
Tofte has specialist expertise in construction and contract law. He possesses extensive knowledge of standard contracts for construction and consultancy engagements and has broad experience across a range of construction contracting models.
Tofte advises and represents contractors, builders, and consultants in both the public and private sectors. His work spans all phases of a project, from contract drafting and interpretation, to ongoing advisory support and contract management during project execution, as well as the handling of final accounts, disputes over final settlements, and defect claims. He has significant experience handling complex matters and provides dispute resolution services, including negotiations, alternative dispute resolution, and litigation before the courts.
Tofte holds a Master of Laws from the University of Oslo. He has served as a research assistant at the Department of Private Law. His master’s thesis addressed the interpretation of construction contracts entered under public procurement regulations. Tofte has also served as a supervisor and examiner for master’s theses in law at the University of Oslo.
