Practice Groups

Practice Groups

As you would expect from a leading full-service firm, we offer a comprehensive range of legal services to our clients. Our services are grouped into broad practice groups which encompass contentious and non-contentious disciplines. Our lawyers work in teams based within specific practice groups for organisational purposes, but often work in cross-group teams on specific projects.

Our six practice groups and the disciplines they contain are briefly described below, but you can find more detailed information in Expertise.

Banking & Finance

Our Banking and Finance group handles a range of acquisition finance, asset finance, capital markets and asset-backed securities, corporate recovery and project finance work.

Commercial, Regulatory & Disputes

This group encompasses a very wide range of contentious and non-contentious services, including advertising and marketing, charities, competition and European Community law, financial services, intellectual property, employment, pensions, immigration, IT/telecoms and technology, litigation, insurance and reinsurance.

Corporate

Our Corporate group contains our specialists in corporate finance, cross-border transactions, mergers and acquisitions, private equity/management buyouts and privatisation. It also houses our corporate and international tax lawyers.

Energy, Projects & Construction

As the name suggests, this group has specialist teams in energy, including oil & gas, electricity, nuclear and renewables, projects work, including PPP and PFI, and construction work, both contentious and non-contentious.

Human Capital

We provide market-leading pensions, employment and employee incentives advice.

Real Estate

As one of Central and Eastern Europe’s largest (and the UK’s leading) Real Estate practices, our lawyers handle property transactions on behalf of investors, developers, and a range of occupiers, including retailers and leisure operators. The Real Estate group also contains our planning specialists and Real Estate disputes experts.
