Green transformation in Poland: opportunities and challenges

For some time now, we have been witnessing accelerated growth in the importance of green transformation, sustainable development, and ESG reporting for business operations in Poland. We are also seeing a technological race, with the need for optimisation and reducing environmental impact across all business areas, coupled with an increase in the climate resilience of businesses.

Market participants, financial institutions, and investors consistently embrace collaboration with companies taking concrete steps towards sustainable development in their strategies. Adopting a business strategy aiming to achieve ambitious transformational goals increasingly determines the possibility of business growth.

The topic of green transformation affects both the largest market entities and smaller companies in supply chains.

Meanwhile, businesses in Poland are still awaiting updated government policies regarding climate goals and energy strategies.

Without active engagement from the government in green transformation issues, will Poland remain an attractive country in the region? What challenges does business in Poland face in the context of new regulations setting increasingly ambitious goals?

At the end of February, during a business mission to Poland organised by the German Eastern Business Association (Ost-Ausschuss der Deutschen Wirtschaft, OA), we will have the opportunity to address these and other issues, as well as participate in discussions with representatives from many German companies. The German delegation is led by Torsten Weber, CEO, Remondis International and includes several potential business partners.

We cordially invite you to the meeting, which will take place on February 28 at CMS’s office, in cooperation with OA.
