Andrzej Lenart, a Polish-qualified advocate, is an associate in the Energy and Infrastructure Practice at CMS Poland.
He possesses experience in providing ongoing legal advice to clients in the energy and environmental sectors, covering both renewable energy sources (including PV installations, onshore and offshore wind farms, and battery energy storage systems) and conventional sources. He supports clients at every stage of project development, particularly in obtaining the necessary permits, licences, grid connection conditions, and in participating in auctions, as well as in proceedings before the President of the Energy Regulatory Office.
He advises private and public sector clients on a wide range of environmental matters, including waste management, environmental damage, and the process of obtaining integrated permits for industrial installations. He supports clients in environmental impact assessments, risk management, and the implementation of solutions aligned with environmental protection standards. He also represents clients in their interactions with administrative authorities and provides legal support in administrative and court-administrative proceedings.
He regularly participates in due diligence reviews related to the largest renewable energy transactions in Poland, focusing on the analysis of environmental, regulatory, and legal aspects. This enables him to effectively identify and mitigate investment risks for clients, ensuring the legal security of projects and supporting the successful implementation of complex energy and infrastructure investments.
