Angelika Szufel, a Polish-qualified advocate, is a counsel in the Energy and Infrastructure Practice at CMS Poland.

Her practice focuses on providing legal advice on the development of infrastructure projects, including ones carried out in compliance with the requirements of public procurement law and in the PPP formula. She has been involved in projects implemented in the energy, railway and air transport industries, as well as the public utilities sector. Angelika has advised public entities on major infrastructure investments related to the construction of railway stations. She has also handled train supply contracts and assisted clients in the organisation of procedures, including the drafting of a public procurement contract to select a contractor for one of the largest power units in Europe, and providing advice at the contract delivery stage.

Angelika also has expertise in providing comprehensive advice on transactions and projects in the renewable energy market. She also advises business entities on the implementation of regulatory guidelines related to the European Green Deal and ESG reporting (sustainability indicators).
The Legal 500 EMEA recognises Angelika as a Leading Associate in both Energy & Natural Resources and Public Procurement. In 2020 she was also named a Rising Star in the prestigious “Rising Stars – Lawyers: Leaders of Tomorrow” ranking by Dziennik Gazeta Prawna.

Most recently, in 2025, she was named one of “25 Women Lawyers in Business” by Forbes Women Polska and the Women in Law Foundation – a leading Polish ranking that highlights female legal professionals combining legal excellence with business impact.

Angelika Szufel, a Polish-qualified advocate, is a counsel in the Energy and Infrastructure Practice at CMS Poland. She also coordinates the firm’s interdisciplinary ESG group.

Angelika specialises in legal structuring and implementation of infrastructure investments, particularly those delivered through public procurement or PPP models. Her experience spans the railway, road, aviation, utility, and energy sectors, where she has supported some of the most significant projects in Poland – from railway station construction and rolling stock contracts to end-to-end procedures for one of Europe’s largest power units.

In the energy sector, Angelika works on renewable transactions and development initiatives, including wind and solar projects. She helps companies navigate regulatory frameworks tied to the European Green Deal and comply with ESG reporting standards, with particular focus on embedding sustainability indicators into business operations.Angelika also conducts internal ESG and EU Taxonomy audits in support of non-financial reporting and corporate sustainability strategies.
She regularly delivers ESG training for clients in the real estate and construction sectors. In addition, she serves as Vice-Chair of the Energy Committee at the Polish Association of Construction Employers (PZPB) and leads its ESG expert group.
