Iwona Ciszyńska is an advocate and senior associate in the Banking and Finance Practice at CMS Poland.
She specialises in advising on bankruptcy and restructuring law, and the legal aspects of business insolvency. She has more than eight years of experience advising banks, investment funds and other business entities in bankruptcy and restructuring proceedings (both on the creditors’ and the debtor’s side). of their debtors, as well as in court and out-of-court enforcement of collateral. Iwona has advised banks, investment funds and companies in various sectors (including IT, energy, and real estate) in connection with the collection of receivables under loans, bonds and commercial contracts, as well as in court and out-of-court enforcement of collateral. Working at CMS Iwona advises banks and Polish companies in consensual restructuring of multimillion bilateral and syndicated financings under Polish and English law.
Prior to joining CMS, Iwona was with Baker McKenzie for almost 2 years, and before that with Allen & Overy for over 4 years. She gained her first experience in transactional work as a trainee in one of the Big4 companies.
