The United Kingdom Budget 2017 included unexpected announcements in the context of real estate taxation. In a major shake-up, the UK Government has confirmed that from April 2019 it will tax capital gains realised by non-UK resident investors in UK property.

With industry consultation ongoing (and April 2019 fast approaching), our UK real estate tax experts will provide an update on what these and other recent tax changes mean for APAC investors into UK real estate, both with respect to their existing investment portfolios and any future investments.
