What does CMS stand for?

The CMS brand was established by the two founding law firms, Cameron McKenna (UK) and Hasche Sigle (Germany).

Who are CMS Reich-Rohrwig Hainz, and what do we do?

CMS Reich-Rohrwig Hainz is one of the largest law firms in Europe with around 360 employees, including more than 220 lawyers, and 11 offices in Austria and Central and Eastern Europe. We are a member firm of CMS and therefore part of a global network of over 5,000 lawyers and tax consultants in 79 locations.

Our law firm has enjoyed 50 years of success to date. Founded in Vienna in 1970, CMS Reich-Rohrwig Hainz is one of the leading commercial law firms in Austria and Central and Eastern Europe today. In 1999, CMS Reich-Rohrwig Hainz co-founded the global CMS network with law firms from Great Britain, Germany, the Netherlands and Belgium.

From 2000 onwards, more international law firms gradually joined the network. We are in constant contact with our CMS colleagues in all of Europe and participate in CMS-wide training events and secondments.
In terms of the number of lawyers, CMS, with its broad consulting portfolio, is now one of the 10 leading international law firms in the world and the largest in Europe.

What fields of law do we represent?

Almost every field of law overlaps with at least one other field in practice. That is why we cover all aspects of commercial law in-house. We not only advise on individual legal issues, but also handle the management of all legal aspects of our clients’ projects.
