CMS Belgrade advised syndicate of investment banks on landmark USD 900 million issue of corporate bonds by Telekom Srbija

Acting as a local legal adviser alongside King & Spalding, CMS Belgrade advised the syndicate of investment banks on Telekom Srbija’s landmark USD 900 million issue of international corporate bonds, its first international capital markets transaction. The transaction involved esteemed global financial institutions: Bank of America, BNP Paribas, Deutsche Bank, Erste Group, MUFG Bank, Raiffeisen Bank International, and UniCredit.

This transaction represents a significant milestone as it is the largest inaugural high-yield bond offering in the Technology, Media, and Telecommunications sector in Central and Eastern Europe, the Middle East, and Africa since 2014. Telekom Srbija is the first company from Serbia and the region to successfully issue a benchmark Eurobond in the international debt capital markets.

The CMS Belgrade team that provided Serbian law support was led by Milica Popović and Radivoje Petrikić and included Marija Tešić, Ksenija Boreta, Jovana Bingulac and Milica Tomić.
