The Delta Ange BESS-project, located in the municipality of Ånge, is set to become one of the largest energy storage sites in Scandinavia. Strategically positioned near the Alby Hydrogen project and Enlight Renewable Energy’s 372-MW Björnberget wind farm, the facility will significantly enhance grid flexibility and support the integration of renewable energy sources.
The transaction was made possible through the financial backing of WOOD & Co., a leading European investment bank and asset manager. The project is part of WOOD & Co. Renewables Subfund, a qualified investor fund focused on developing renewable energy assets across the EU.
The CMS team provided end-to-end support throughout the process and involved a team of dedicated lawyer across Czech Republic and Sweden; Banking & Finance partners Petra Mysakova (Czech republic), Kristofer Selvin, Hendrik Kangasmuukko (Sweden), Lawyer Matej Eberle, and Associates David Bujgl (Czech Republic) and Irma Fricke (Sweden).
The project highlights CMS’s ongoing commitment to supporting clients in the energy transition and sustainable infrastructure. The Delta Ange BESS facility will play a key role in enhancing grid stability and advancing renewable energy integration in the region.
