Aida Oviedo is a Senior Associate of the Competition & EU Law department at CMS Albiñana & Suárez de Lezo. She specialises on advising companies in all type of Spanish and EU law matters, including advice in relation to restrictive practices, abuses of dominant position, merger control and unfair competition.

She has been involved in numerous sanctioning and merger control proceedings, advising clients before the Spanish and European competition authorities. Moreover, she possesses vast experience in appeals before the Spanish and EU Courts, the design and implementation of compliance programs and audits, ongoing advice on competition and distribution matters and due diligence processes.

Aida also represents clients facing damages claims arising from infringements of competition law. 

Relevant experience

Aida has advised leading companies in their sectors on a wide range of matters, including Thomson Reuters and Wolters Kluwer on the joint sale of their legal businesses in Spain to a third party, as well as Coca-Cola European Partners on competition and distribution matters on a regular basis.

  • Aida has published a wide variety of articles and texts for specialist and generalist publications and press, both in Spain and abroad, in her field of expertise.
