Catherine Matton is counsel in the real estate and construction department. Catherine’s knowledge and expertise are focused on all aspects of real estate law. She is active in sale and acquisition transactions, sale and leaseback operations, leases and related occupancy rights, rights in rem, construction and real estate financing.

Catherine is primarily active in large real estate sale and acquisition transactions, handling both asset and share deals, covering all aspects of the transaction, from the due diligence of the asset or the company, in close cooperation with the technical teams, to the negotiation of R&W insurance. She also provides pragmatic and specialized advices on all related aspects of such large transactions.

Catherine also focuses her practice on commercial and retail projects. She provides sound advice for the negotiation of commercial lease agreement but also assists clients in case of dispute and litigation, which includes, in certain cases, the appointment of a judicial expert.

Besides the negotiation of office agreement, Catherine has also extensive experience in the hotel sector where she assists on advising and conducting negotiations of management, lease or construction agreements.

Catherine advises clients such as financial institutions, banks, asset managers and various Belgian and foreign institutional companies on various transactions.
