CMS advised Cenorbank and Belfius on financing The Fifty Six, a landmark redevelopment project in Brussels

CMS advised Caisse d’Epargne et de Prévoyance des Hauts de France and Belfius on the financing of The Fifty Six, a major real estate redevelopment project located at 56 Boulevard de Berlaimont in the heart of Brussels.

This significant transaction marks the beginning of the redevelopment of the former National Bank of Belgium printing house, an iconic modernist building which is being transformed into a sustainable, high-end, mixed-use destination.

Developed by Burco and 3D Real Estate, The Fifty Six will combine premium office space with a lifestyle hotel, fitness and wellness facilities, and food and beverage outlets. The project places a strong emphasis on sustainability and preserving the building’s distinctive architectural heritage, while creating a modern environment designed for the future of work, hospitality and urban living.
