Katerina Hristova is Counsel in the Finance team of CMS Sofia. Prior to joining CMS she has worked both in private practice and in the in-house legal department of a Bulgarian bank gaining significant experience in regulatory banking and finance matters.

She has advised clients on regulatory matters brought before the Bulgarian National Bank and Financial Supervision Commission. Katerina is also familiar with the European regulations concerning the banking and finance sector. She has advised on the implementation of MIFID II in the banking policies and procedures. Katerina is experienced in financings and security documents as well as drafting across a variety of sectors, including finance, corporate and commercial, and real estate law.

Katerina has successfully completed the Sustainable Bond Certificate programme at the International Capital Market Association (ICMA). This valuable expertise will enhance our Finance team’s competence in the area of green and sustainability-linked loans.
